Additional fines for common offenses:
- driving in the emergency lane = €1500
- Dumping garbage through the window of the car = €60
- Stopping or parking on the motorway = €60
- Driving in the left lane when the right lane is free = €60
- Driving in the emergency lane = €150
- Consumption of food or drink or smoking while driving a motorcycle (including passengers) = €60
- No helmet or seatbelts = €60
There is no penalty point system in Slovakia, but the police can take your license after 3 offenses exceeding €60 within a 12 month period.

The above comment is correct, you cannot loose your license for speeding in Slovakia as long as you pay the speeding ticket on the spot. The maximum fine is €800, so even if you drive in an urban area 300km/h, it still still €800. Bit ridiculous, but that’s how it is. Pay on spot and you keep your license. If you hear news that someone lost license for speeding, it’s because they couldn’t afford the ticket. The cops usually take credit cards.

I think you can’t lose a licence for speeding in Slovakia if you agree with a fine when police stops you (max penalty is 800EUR even if you go 200kmh…).
