Hungary operates a penalty point system for traffic offences (e.g., not wearing a seat belt). When a driver accumulates 18 penalty points, they lose their license and can only re-apply after a six-month ban, and when they have completed a course..

Tolerance below 100 km/h is +15 km/h and over 100 km/h is +20 km/h for speed traps. However, if the policeman measures it actually then he can fine you for +1 km/h as well.

Hi i am from Hungary. And this numbers are real in 2021.04.19 But bellow +15km/h you are still can get trouble, when police trak you, and stoping you for something, what there called “spot fine”. Thats what you can get when the police stoping you, and you go faster than +3km/h<"your speed"<15km/h there are 10.000-30.000 HUF fine. But when police dont stoping you, then you are good up to 15km/h
